In a bizarre incident that seems more fitting for another era, a policeman in Lucknow was attacked with a bow and arrow near the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office. According to his complaint, Assistant Sub-Inspector Virendra Singh—on guard duty at the CBI premises—noticed a suspicious man sitting near a tree around 11:15 a.m. on Friday.
"I asked him what he was doing there, and he immediately stood up and fired an arrow at me. It struck me in the chest," Singh stated, adding that the assailant appeared intent on killing him.
