The incident unfolded when the Milwaukee Police Department attempted to stop the driver near 19th Street and Hampton Avenue, where he was wanted for a felony and driving recklessly.

The vehicle ultimately collided with a tree and caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others—including a police officer—were hospitalized with injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
