The fire of a truck on the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho highway, after a collision with other vehicles in the Caracas-Guarenas direction, officially left 8 dead and several injured, on the morning of this Wednesday, December 13.
However, unofficially it is said that at least 17 people were burned to death during the most tragic accident that occurred on this road.
The accident occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m.
The event occurred near the Araguaney sector, in the state of Miranda and due to the extent of the flames, land traffic has been suspended in both directions.
Apparently, the accident involved a cargo vehicle, a public transport vehicle and a truck loaded with a flammable product and ten other cars.
On the other hand, it is said that among the victims was a family including the couple and two children, who were traveling aboard a crane and who were burned to death.
Security agencies are already at the scene of the accident and controlling traffic, while firefighters were trying to reach the accident, because the emergency channel was obstructed by vehicles in both directions.
The same authorities have asked the people who are in line to make space so that the fire brigade units can attack the flames, which have spread throughout the road, apparently after a spill of the flammable product.
