Four people remain hospitalized after a lightning strike struck the area near Praça do Cruzeiro during a public event in Brasília. The incident occurred on Sunday during the closing of a political rally led by federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira.

According to the Health Management Institute of the Federal District, 27 people were admitted to Hospital de Base on the same day. Of those, 22 have since been discharged, while one individual left the hospital without authorization.

Emergency teams provided assistance to 89 people at the scene. Most cases were related to hypothermia caused by severe weather conditions. In total, 47 individuals were transported to hospitals across the Federal District, and 11 required further medical attention due to injuries linked to the lightning strike.

In addition to Hospital de Base, 14 patients were treated at Hospital Regional da Asa Norte. As of the latest update, the four individuals who remain hospitalized are under medical observation and may be discharged in the coming days.

No fatalities have been reported in connection with the incident. Authorities continue to monitor the situation while medical teams provide ongoing care to those affected.
