A traffic accident on the morning of Monday, August 11, at kilometer 40 of the Pan-American Highway near San Rafael Cedros, in the department of Cuscatlán, El Salvador, left one person dead.

Video captured by a local security camera shows the heavy transport vehicle engulfed in flames before overturning and being completely destroyed.

The driver was trapped in the wreckage and died on impact.

Rescue teams quickly arrived to extinguish the fire and respond to the emergency.

Just a few meters from the site, a delivery truck was parked and narrowly avoided being struck.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire that led to the rollover.

Another person was injured and, according to Red Cross personnel, was transported in critical condition to Cojutepeque Hospital.
