A gas station attendant identified as Fernando da Paz Araújo, 36, was executed with several gunshots on Tuesday afternoon (15), in front of a gas station in Santa Maria da Codipi, in the north of Teresina.
Teams from the 13th Battalion of the Military Police of Piauí were called and began the investigation. According to the corporation, the suspects arrived at the scene and went directly towards the victim to execute him.
Fernando da Paz tried to run, but was shot several times and died in front of his workplace. The perpetrators of the crime fled and have not yet been located or identified. The crime scene was cordoned off by the police for forensic investigations, which should determine the circumstances of the incident.
The Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) was called to remove the body and the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP) will be responsible for investigating the crime.
