A Lebanese businessman and his Filipina wife were shot and killed during a robbery at their establishment in Zamboanga City, Philippines.

According to police reports, a lone suspect entered the couple’s business premises and attempted to carry out a robbery. The situation quickly escalated when the assailant opened fire, fatally shooting both victims.

The victims were identified as a 57-year-old Lebanese national and his 53-year-old Filipina wife. Both sustained gunshot wounds and were declared dead at the scene.

Authorities immediately launched a manhunt for the suspect, who fled after the attack. Investigators are working to determine whether the crime was purely robbery-related or if other motives were involved.

The incident has raised concerns over security in the area, prompting local officials to intensify law enforcement efforts and encourage the public to provide information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest.
