A man was executed in a premeditated attack in Minas Gerais, Brazil, after a gunman distracted him using a mobile phone before opening fire at close range.

According to police reports, the suspect approached the victim and deliberately created a distraction by using a mobile phone, causing the victim to lower his guard.

Moments later, the attacker drew a firearm and shot the victim multiple times at point-blank range. The victim was struck by approximately 16 gunshots and died at the scene.

Authorities believe the crime was an ambush, carefully planned to ensure the victim had no opportunity to react or escape.

The suspect, reportedly a minor, fled the scene after the shooting. Law enforcement officials have launched an investigation and are working to determine the motive behind the killing, as well as to locate and apprehend those involved.

The case has raised concerns due to the calculated nature of the attack and the level of violence involved.
