A car driven by a 32-year-old man was moving along Blagoeva Street towards Gorky Street. The girl was crossing the road from left to right in the direction of the car’s movement – from house No. 6 along Blagoeva Street towards the shops. The impact fell on the left headlight of the car.
According to eyewitnesses of the incident, she was crossing the road very quickly, the driver simply had no chance to notice the pedestrian. Even with the condition that she was wearing a light jacket.
After the impact, the girl was thrown forward several meters, and the car drove onto the dividing strip.
The girl died at the scene of the accident from her injuries.
As it turned out later, the deceased was an 18-year-old native of India.
She came to Tver to get a higher medical education. She was a first-year student at the Tver State Medical University and lived in a university dormitory at the intersection of Furmanova and Nikitina streets.”
