Law enforcement officers have identified the suspect who abused a dog in the village of Gribskoye . A criminal case has been opened against him.
The case was opened under Part 1 of Article 245 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, “ Cruel treatment of an animal for the purpose of causing it pain and (or) suffering, resulting in its death .”
The issue of detaining the suspect and choosing a preventive measure for him is currently being decided, the Amur Region Prosecutor's Office reports. The progress and results of the investigation of the criminal case are under the control of the district prosecutor's office.
A shocking video of animal abuse has appeared on social media. Judging by the footage, the dog died. According to available information, the driver was a retired major of the internal service, 51-year-old Vladimir Shadrin.
