Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jaipur on Tuesday. Gogamedi was shot inside his house, after which the gunmen fled the spot. The whole incident was caught on CCTV.
Soon after the incident, gangster Rohit Godara, who is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in a Facebook post said that he was responsible for Gogamedi’s murder.
In the video, two men are seen firing multiple shots at Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi and shooting another man standing at the door. Gogamedi is seen collapsing on the floor from the gunshot injuries.
Although Gogamedi was taken to a hospital after the incident, he died of his injuries. Ajit Singh, who was with Gogamedi during the incident, was seriously injured, officials said.
“As per initial reports, four people entered a house where Gogamedi was present and opened fire at him. One of Gogamedi’s security personnel and another person were injured in the firing,” Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra told news agency PTI.
The police are investigating the incident.
