A 28-year-old man was shot and killed during a live music event at a commercial venue in the São Domingos district of Costa Marques, Rondônia, Brazil.

According to police, the shooting occurred at approximately 2:07 a.m. at the Altas Horas establishment, located along the BR-429 highway. Officers responded after receiving reports that a man had been shot during an event taking place at the venue.

Upon arrival, authorities found the victim, identified as Diego de Araújo Rodrigues, seated in a chair and showing no signs of life. Medical personnel from the local health post attended the scene and confirmed his death.

Witnesses told investigators that the suspected gunman was wearing glasses, a burgundy-colored shirt, and light-colored trousers. According to their accounts, the suspect fired approximately four shots at the victim before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

Police secured the crime scene while forensic specialists and civil police investigators conducted their examinations. Following the completion of forensic procedures, the victim's body was released to a funeral service.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motive for the killing and identify the person responsible. No arrests had been announced at the time of reporting.
