American singer Oliver Tree was among six people killed in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after two helicopters collided mid-air over the city's western zone.

According to authorities, the collision occurred over the Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood on June 14. One of the helicopters crashed into the grounds of a vehicle dealership, triggering a large fire that engulfed numerous parked vehicles. All six people involved in the crash were killed.

Police confirmed that Oliver Tree, 32, was among the victims. The musician was in Brazil as part of his international tour. Other victims included passengers and crew members aboard the two helicopters. Due to the severity of the crash and resulting fire, forensic identification procedures were required to formally identify those killed.

Emergency responders secured the area and extinguished the fire while aviation investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding the collision. Authorities are reviewing flight data, aircraft records, and witness accounts as part of the ongoing investigation.
