A 52-year-old trader was killed in a devastating road accident near Tramba village in Rajkot district, Gujarat, after an out-of-control car crashed into his roadside shop.

According to reports, the victim, Kanaiyalal Barsiya, was opening his agricultural supply store on the afternoon of June 7 when a speeding car traveling along the roadway suddenly veered off course. Investigators said the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to slam directly into the storefront.

The impact trapped Barsiya between the vehicle and the wall of the shop, leaving him critically injured. Bystanders rushed to the scene and worked to free him before he was transported to hospital. Despite medical efforts, he later died from his injuries.

The entire incident was captured by both the store's CCTV system and the vehicle's dashcam, footage that has since circulated widely online. Authorities have opened an investigation into the crash. Reports indicate that the driver remained at the scene, acknowledged responsibility, and cooperated with police.

Barsiya was described as the primary provider for his family. He is survived by his wife, children, and elderly mother. The fatal accident has sparked renewed concerns about road safety and speeding on routes surrounding Rajkot.
