A 20-year-old man died after falling from a mobile tower in the village of Purabhoj, in Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh, India.

The victim, identified as Sumit Rajput, reportedly climbed the approximately 100-foot-high tower while intoxicated following a dispute related to his girlfriend’s wedding. According to reports, he ascended the structure in an apparent attempt to make a dramatic gesture. Despite efforts by local residents and authorities to persuade him to come down safely, he lost his balance and fell.

He sustained critical injuries and was later pronounced dead.

Police responded to the scene and initiated legal proceedings. The body was sent for post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
