A vehicle travelling on Fevzi Çakmak Street in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy neighbourhood lost control and crashed into a roadside tree. The force of the impact split the car into two sections. Of the three young occupants, two lost their lives and one remains in serious condition after being rushed to hospital.

The deceased have been identified as 15-year-old Vahdi Batın Ş. and Osman Nuri Ö.. The surviving occupant, Fikret Kağan E., is currently undergoing treatment.
