Janak, a worker at a plywood factory in Makdumpur village of Roorkee, died in an accident. His family has accused the factory management of negligence.
Roorkee: An employee died tragically while working in a plywood factory in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. CCTV footage of this incident has surfaced. It can be seen in the video that as soon as the employee climbed on the machine for some work, suddenly a piece of plywood jumped from the front and hit him directly on the face.
The collision was so strong that the employee immediately fell unconscious on the ground. Fellow employees admitted him to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.
This incident took place in Mangalore Kotwali area. The family members of the employee have made serious allegations of negligence in security against the factory management.
The police have sent the body for post-mortem and are investigating the matter. The employee Janak was a resident of Chaundaheri village and was 45 years old. He worked in a plywood factory in Makdumpur village.
The protesting family members have made serious allegations against the factory management. They say that safety rules are not followed in the factory. Helmets and other safety equipment are not provided to the employees.
They have demanded strict action against the factory management.
They have also demanded compensation. As soon as the incident was reported, teams of Mangalore, Roorkee, Ganganahar and other police reached the spot. The police handled the situation and pacified the family members.
