A 20-year-old girl died and three people were injured in the early hours of Saturday (6), after the car they were in skidded off the road and hit a pole in the city of Barreiras , in western Bahia. A security camera captured the accident.

According to information from the city's Military Police, the driver of the car was passing along Avenida Antônio Carlos Magalhães, when he lost control of the steering wheel after skidding on the road. The ground was wet because of the rain that hit the city.

When the police arrived on the avenue, the victims were being treated by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), but the young woman who died, identified only as Maria Eduarda , did not survive her injuries where the accident occurred. She was in the back seat of the car.

Because of the crash, the car also caught fire, which was contained by witnesses to the accident.

According to Samu, two of the injured were taken to the city's Emergency Care Unit (UPA) and one to Hospital do Oeste. There are no details of the victims' health status.
