A young woman named Alondra Yambatis lost her life on the morning of this Sunday in a mysterious accident on El Molino Street in the Piedra Linda neighborhood, municipality of Villa Hermosa.

According to preliminary reports, Yambatis was running alongside a water distribution truck when, under circumstances now under investigation, she fell under the vehicle and died instantly. Authorities from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, agents from the traffic division, and the forensic physician, Dr. Benito Kelly, responded to the scene, conducted the removal of the body, and later handed it over to her relatives.

At first, residents suggested the incident was caused by the driver, prompting outrage among locals who confronted him. Later, however, a security camera video surfaced that shows Yambatis running parallel to the truck while another person appears to be chasing her.

The images show that Yambatis lost her balance—possibly after being struck—and fell under the vehicle accidentally.
