HOLBROOK, AZ — Interstate 40 is partially closed near Holbrook after authorities say a crash left four people dead Friday afternoon.
Details surrounding the crash are limited, but the Arizona Department of Public Safety says multiple vehicles were involved and that the collision happened around 1:45 p.m. at milepost 294.
Treacherous winter weather has led to a number of crashes across northern Arizona, including in Williams, where at least two people were killed in a fiery wreck on Thursday.
Traffic officials have closed several interstates and highways across the state due to icy road conditions caused by this week’s winter storms.
