A thunderstorm caused a royal poinciana tree to fall on a power line, and two young men on a motorbike got caught in it and were electrocuted to death.
On May 30, Mr. Huynh Anh Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Luu Nghiep Anh Commune (Tra Cu District, Tra Vinh), confirmed that two young men riding a motorbike were electrocuted to death after a royal poinciana tree fell onto a low-voltage power line stretched across the road after a heavy rain.
Specifically, at the above time, two young men riding a motorbike got caught in a leaking power line, fell onto the road and died.
The entire incident was recorded by a security camera of a nearby house.
According to the leader of Luu Nghiep Anh commune, the two victims (25 and 26 years old) lived just a few hundred meters from the scene.
After the accident, the commune authorities visited the victim's family and fixed the broken power line to ensure safety.
