Video surveillance cameras captured the moment when Luis Nelson dos Santos, 36, was shot dead in the Zachia neighborhood, in Passo Fundo, on Sunday (4). The incident happened around 5:40 pm.
The recording shows the moment two men arrive on a motorcycle and shoot the victim, who was on the sidewalk. According to the police report, Santos was hit by at least six shots.
According to delegate Carolina Goulart, who is leading the investigation, the crime was allegedly motivated by jealousy. The details were not released.
One of the perpetrators has already been identified and the police are working to locate the second person involved. No one has been arrested so far.
Santos' wake will take place on Monday at the Zachia Community Gymnasium, at an unknown time. He will be buried on Tuesday (6), at 10 am, at the Ribeiros Cemetery.
