Police in Fayetteville say a person was killed in a shooting on Sunday morning at a condo community off Cliffdale Road.
The shooting was reported just after 10:20 a.m. along the 600 block of Barton’s Landing Place, according to a Fayetteville Police Department news release.
When officers arrived, they found a person with “multiple gunshots to the upper torso,” police said. Barton’s Landing is described as a gated community.
EMS units arrived and took the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, the victim died at the hospital, police said.
Officers did not release any information about the victim, including gender.
“Detectives from the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating,” officers said.
