A freight train crushed a person to death in Semey, Kazakhstan.
The deceased was trying to pass between a train that was stopped at a traffic light.
The tragedy occurred in the heart of the city. Without waiting for the stopped train to move completely, the woman tried to pass between the carriages. However, after a few seconds, the train began to move. At that moment, the deceased was crushed under the wheels.
Witnesses managed to pull the woman out from under the car, but she died at the scene.
A criminal case has now been opened and an investigation is underway.
