On November 7, a video of "a quilt processing machine in a workshop in Jiangxi suddenly fell and injured a person" attracted widespread attention.
The incident happened at around 10 a.m. on the 6th. In the surveillance video, the quilt processing equipment was rising and an operator tried to reach out to get something. Unexpectedly, the machine suddenly fell, and the operator was hit. A woman in the house ran over and shouted for help.
The person who posted the video told Jimu News that he was also a colleague in the cotton wool shop and the video was circulated in a group chat.
According to him, the machine was called a cotton kneading machine and it might have fallen due to a malfunction. The person who was hit was sent to the hospital in time and suffered injuries and fractures.
The reporter learned from multiple sources that the incident occurred in Wan'an County, Jiangxi Province. After answering the phone, the staff of the store (workshop) involved did not respond directly to the matter.
On the afternoon of the 7th, people from relevant departments of Wan'an County said that there was indeed a store with the same name in the county, and the relevant departments had gone to the scene to verify.
Staff from the Wan'an County Emergency Management Bureau said that the person who was hit is being treated in the hospital and is not in danger of death. The department has arrived at the scene to further understand the situation.
