Accident occurred after another motorcycle swerved; fatal victim died at the scene.
A motorcyclist identified as Ananda Batista died after colliding with a power pole on Rua 3 in the Paulo Corrêa neighborhood, in Parintins, in the interior of Amazonas, on the morning of this Saturday (26). The accident happened when Ananda and a friend tried to avoid another motorcycle and lost control.
Witnesses reported that the sudden maneuver caused the motorcycle to crash violently into the pole, causing Ananda's immediate death. The other occupant, whose identity was not released, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The collision mobilized rescue teams, but due to the severity of the impact, Ananda did not survive her injuries. Her friend remains hospitalized under medical care.
