The Medellín Mobility Secretariat reported that around 11 am a serious traffic accident occurred on Guayabal Avenue, Carrera 52, with 14th Street South, near the border between Medellín and the municipality of Itagüí , when a tractor-trailer hit about 14 vehicles leaving a balance of 4 people injured and 2 who lost their lives.
According to preliminary information, the fatal accident occurred when a person apparently stole a tractor-trailer that was going to be maintained in the sector, and while fleeing, caused the collision with other vehicles.
To attend to the accident, two fire crews and three ambulances went to the scene, as well as officials from the DAGRD and the Medellín Mobility Secretariat.
