A traffic accident claimed the lives of three people and left another seriously injured. The tragedy occurred late at night on Saturday, in front of the "El Patrón" bull barrier, in the municipality of Tipitapa, in the department of Managua.

The truck was driven by Vladimir Eliud Bracamonte Montenegro, 29, who was driving in an apparent drunken state. Two other women were with him, who at the time of the accident fled the scene before police officers arrived.

The victims are two vendors and a motorcycle caretaker, who took advantage of the municipality's patron saint festivities in honor of the Christ of Esquipulas, to earn a living, but died instantly after a truck hit them, in the Lomas de Esquipulas neighborhood, near kilometer 24 on the old Managua – Tipitapa highway, witnesses reported.
