A security camera filmed the shooting that left two men dead and one injured, in the early hours of Monday (11), in Ribeirão das Neves, in Greater BH. The crime occurred in a square in the Esplanada neighborhood, where several people were drinking and talking.
The images recorded the moment when the trio got out of a car and ran towards the square to escape the suspect, who was in another vehicle. Two victims fought with the shooter, but were shot several times at close range.
According to the police report, the girlfriend of one of them reported to the police that they were all at a horseback riding event in the city center. Upon returning home, they were followed by an unknown man, who started shooting from inside the car.
According to the police, the woman managed to disembark halfway. She said that her 20-year-old boyfriend and his 24-year-old brother, who were shot to death, “didn’t have any disagreements with anyone.”
The other victim, aged 26, was taken to the São Judas Tadeu Municipal Hospital in serious condition. The suspect has not yet been identified.
A Civil Police team carried out an investigation at the scene of the crime. Several ammunition capsules and the amount of R$2,900 were collected, which was in the pocket of one of the dead men. The bodies were taken to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in Belo Horizonte.
