According to a video shared on social networks, a person died during a Carruchas race competition in Táriba, Táchira state, last Sunday.

The victim was identified as Ender Eliseo Pérez (42). The event occurred while they were riding in a vehicle made by the same participants, and they collided with a wall. A pothole in the asphalt would have caused Pérez to lose control and crash.

The man presented severe craniocerebral trauma and a fracture of his right hand when he collided with the wall of the house.

Pérez’s companion also suffered injuries during the incident. Both were wearing helmets at the time of the accident, however, they were not suitable for this type of competition.
