A young man was killed and several others were seriously injured in a devastating head-on collision involving a Mahindra Thar and a Scorpio SUV near Asgarpur village in Haryana's Yamunanagar district. The victim was identified as the only son of a former village sarpanch (elected chief) from Laharpur village.

According to reports, the victim was traveling in a Scorpio with friends and a relative when the accident occurred. Moments before the crash, one of the occupants had reportedly begun recording a video inside the vehicle, capturing the group enjoying the ride.

Witnesses said the Thar and Scorpio collided head-on with tremendous force. The impact was so severe that a roadside tree was uprooted, while the Scorpio overturned multiple times before coming to rest off the roadway. The Thar was extensively damaged in the collision.

The young man died at the scene, while three other occupants sustained serious injuries. Emergency responders transported the injured victims to hospitals in Mullana and Chandigarh, where they remained under treatment.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after the crash, secured the damaged vehicles, and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Authorities are examining factors that may have contributed to the collision, including speed and road conditions.

The tragedy has left the local community in mourning, with residents expressing shock over the sudden loss of a young man whose life was cut short in a matter of seconds.
