A couple was shot and killed on the night of Saturday, 21 February 2026, in the Fischer neighborhood of Teresópolis, a city in the mountainous region of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

According to initial information from local authorities and security footage reviewed by police, two unidentified gunmen on motorcycles approached the victims on Estrada Pedro Eleutério, near the Lixão da Prata area. The assailants opened fire at close range, fatally wounding both individuals at the scene.
