A 25-year-old Hafiz-e-Quran, identified as Hafiz Muzammil, has died following a brutal assault in the Mailardevpally area of Hyderabad. The incident has shocked local residents and prompted a murder investigation.

According to police, the violence stemmed from a minor dispute. On February 17, a man allegedly invited another individual to his residence to discuss an issue related to an email account. The discussion reportedly escalated into a physical altercation. Those involved initially left the scene but later returned with others.

During the subsequent confrontation, a group of around seven individuals allegedly attacked the victims with iron rods and sticks. Several people sustained serious injuries, and vehicles at the scene were reportedly damaged.

Muzammil was critically injured in the assault and was admitted to a hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Following his death, police upgraded the case from attempted murder to murder under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify all those involved and determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Security has been increased in the area as a precaution.
