Gunmen kill man outside bar, then mock his family using stolen phone - Honduras

A 28-year-old man, identified as Bryan Joshiney Ramírez, was shot and killed in front of a bar in the Castaños Sur neighborhood of Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.

According to police and witness reports, the attackers approached the victim while dressed in clothing resembling police uniforms, which may have allowed them to get close without raising suspicion. Authorities recovered at least 27 shell casings at the scene, indicating that numerous shots were fired during the attack.

After the killing, the assailants reportedly took the victim’s mobile phone and later answered calls from his family members with mocking remarks, further intensifying public outrage and concern.

Residents and business owners in the area have expressed fear over the growing insecurity. The National Police and investigative authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and other evidence as they work to identify and apprehend those responsible. The motive behind the crime has not yet been confirmed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
