A bull that escaped from its enclosure injured six people after charging pedestrians in the central streets of Pedro Escobedo, Mexico, according to local reports and surveillance footage.

The incident occurred Saturday afternoon when the animal ran loose through the town’s downtown area. Security camera video captured the bull charging several pedestrians, including a mother and her approximately five-year-old daughter.

Authorities said six people were injured in the incident. An elderly man sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The conditions of the other victims were not immediately disclosed.

Videos shared online show residents fleeing for safety as the bull ran through the streets. Officials have not yet said how the animal escaped or whether its owner will face penalties.

Local authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
