Four suspects were killed during a confrontation with the Military Police on Friday night (31) in Belford Roxo, in the Baixada Fluminense region. Four assault rifles were seized by the 39th Military Police Battalion of Belford Roxo.

According to police, the incident began hours earlier after a motorcycle courier was killed in the Bom Pastor neighborhood.

Security camera footage from a nearby business shows a man entering what appears to be a scrapyard and firing several shots at the victim at close range. A second man, wearing camouflage clothing, then fired the final shots. The area was secured, and the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Division was called to the scene.

Police said the suspects had also made threats against the local population on social media.

During a police operation, officers identified that the suspects were traveling in a vehicle in the Rola Bosta community. The suspects opened fire on police, and four of them were killed in the exchange.

Authorities seized one AK-47 rifle and three Colt 5.56 rifles, all loaded with magazines, as well as a grenade and the vehicle used by the suspects.

The four individuals were known by the nicknames Bibico, Urubuzinho, JN, and Maçã. They were members of a criminal faction operating in the Complexo da Penha area, located in the northern zone of Rio de Janeiro.

The incident was recorded at the 54th Police Precinct in Belford Roxo.
