A man was shot dead by his former father-in-law in the municipality of Três Barras do Paraná, Brazil, following a domestic dispute, according to police.

The incident occurred on Rua Ângelo Boareto after the victim, identified as 32-year-old Juliano Schina dos Santos, reportedly went to the home of his former partner and became involved in a heated argument. Authorities said the situation escalated when he allegedly assaulted a woman who was present at the residence and attempted to force her to leave so he could remain alone with his ex-partner.

The woman contacted her father, who arrived at the scene shortly afterward carrying a firearm. Surveillance footage reportedly shows the man shooting Juliano multiple times. The victim died at the scene before emergency services arrived.

The shooter fled immediately after the incident and remains at large. Police confirmed that earlier the same day they had responded to a separate domestic violence call involving the same individuals.

Civil Police investigators, forensic teams, and the Medical-Legal Institute were deployed to process the scene. Authorities are continuing the search for the suspect and investigating the circumstances surrounding the killing.
