A well-known cultural leader in Olinda died following a gym accident while performing a bench-press exercise. The incident occurred at a fitness center located in the metropolitan region of Recife, Brazil.

The victim, identified as 55-year-old Ronald José Salvador, was exercising when the bar slipped from his grip and fell onto his chest with significant force. Staff members immediately attempted to assist and emergency services were called, but he was pronounced dead after being transported to hospital.
