Woman shot at Barranquilla restaurant, remains in critical condition; suspects linked to Los Costeños flee scene - Colombia

EL HERALDO reports that the victim was taken to Paso La Manga, where she remains in critical condition. Following the attack, the suspects left a pamphlet referencing the criminal group “Los Costeños.”

On the afternoon of Thursday, July 10, a shooting left a woman injured while she was working at a restaurant in the La Paz neighborhood, located in the southwest of Barranquilla.

The injured woman was identified by authorities as Adaluz Pérez Santana, 27 years old.

According to the police report, at approximately 6:20 pm, Pérez was working as usual at the commercial establishment **Arroz Paisa**, situated at Carrera 12E and Calle 108.

The day was proceeding peacefully until two men on a motorcycle approached the restaurant and, without warning, shot Pérez.

The assailants then threw an extortion leaflet referring to the criminal organization **Los Costeños** before fleeing in an unknown direction.

After being shot, Pérez Santana fell to the ground and was later assisted by local residents who quickly transported her by motorcycle to Paso La Manga.

Medical reports revealed that the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the head and remains in critical condition.

The Barranquilla Metropolitan Police have launched a lockdown operation to capture the attackers.
