Uploaded On:Friday 20th of June 2025

On Tuesday night, June 17, two men were fatally shot in the Jatobá neighborhood in the South Zone of Patos. The victims, 31-year-old Danilo Alves and 30-year-old Ygor Thales Morais Félix, known as "Pé de Pato," were attacked around 10:50 p.m. at a convenience store located at the intersection of Manoel Mota and Donato Lócio streets.

Several people were gathered at the store, which is near the Maria Marques Emergency Room, when the assailants arrived and opened fire, causing panic and a stampede.

Both men were struck in vital areas, including the chest and head. Danilo Alves died instantly at the scene from gunshot wounds to the back. Ygor Thales was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) but succumbed to his injuries en route to Deputado Janduhy Carneiro Regional Hospital.

Reports indicate that an unidentified woman was also injured during the shooting and was assisted by bystanders.

The Military Police secured the crime scene while the Civil Police’s Homicide and Narcotics Division (DHE), alongside forensic experts from the Scientific Police, launched an investigation.

The victims’ bodies were sent to the Center for Legal Medicine and Dentistry (Numol) for autopsies.

Notably, Ygor Thales had been acquitted on May 5 by the Jury Court of Patos District in connection to a 2020 homicide case involving Alex Pereira Guedes, known as “Alex Juazeiro” or “Alex do Lava Jato.”

The exact circumstances and motive behind the double homicide remain unclear. Authorities are investigating whether the recent killings relate to past incidents.

The Civil Police urge anyone who witnessed the crime to come forward with information anonymously by calling 197.
