A new act of violence shook the tranquility of Pradera, Valle del Cauca, on the morning of Friday, March 21. A man identified as Diego Fernando Ruiz Soto was killed a block and a half from the municipality's Police Station, after criminals stole his motorcycle.
The homicide occurred around 7:50 a.m. on 3rd Street, between races 11 and 12. According to preliminary information, the victim was on the platform of his house when he was intercepted by an unknown who, without saying a word, shot him with a firearm before fleeing with the vehicle.
The fact was recorded on a security camera in the sector, where the exact moment of the crime is observed. The community, alarmed by the violence with which the criminals acted, tried to react, but the aggressor quickly fled the place.
Ruiz Soto was transferred in a police patrol to the San Roque Hospital, where unfortunately he arrived without vital signs. The authorities have launched an investigation to find the whereabouts of the person responsible and clarify the motives for the homicide.
This case has generated indignation among the inhabitants of Pradera, who ask for greater security in the area and forceful actions against crime. "It is not possible for this to happen in broad daylight and a few meters from the Police," said a resident of the sector.
The authorities called on citizens to provide any information that allows us to identify the person responsible and reiterated their commitment to the fight against the insecurity that affects the municipality.
