Foreigner killed in Maicao: A new hitman attack shook the tranquility of Maicao on the night of Friday, March 7. Eloi Raldón Hernández, a 36-year-old Venezuelan citizen, lost his life after being shot in the head while riding a bicycle. The crime occurred on 9th Street, between 17th and 18th streets, near the public market.

Security cameras recorded every detail of the attack. In the images, a man on a motorcycle can be seen following the victim closely before shooting him without warning. After committing the murder, the hitman accelerated and fled in an unknown direction, leaving behind a scene of panic and shock.

The authorities immediately arrived at the scene. The National Police cordoned off the area to preserve the evidence, while units from the Sijín and the CTI of the Attorney General’s Office began the investigations. Their main objective is to determine the motive for the crime and find the whereabouts of the person responsible.

The body of Eloi Raldón Hernández was transferred to the morgue of the Legal Medicine in Maicao. There, forensic experts carried out the identification process with the help of people who knew the victim in the area. The news has generated concern among residents, who fear an increase in violence in the city.

Now, authorities are stepping up operations to solve the case. With the support of security videos and the testimony of possible witnesses, investigators are looking for clues that will lead to the capture of the murderer. Meanwhile, the community is demanding justice and greater security on the streets.
