A woman managed to survive almost 30 stab wounds when she was surprised and attacked by her ex-partner in a pizzeria in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Núñez . After the savage attempt at femicide, the man began to self-harm in order to take his own life. However, he was unable to do so and was finally arrested.

The incident, which became public in the last few hours, occurred last Monday at 8:45 p.m. The victim, aged 45, was in the kitchen of the shop, located on Quesada and Cabildo Avenue, when the attacker, aged 41, approached the counter and jumped towards her .

As can be seen in the images taken by the premises’ security cameras, the subject grabbed her by the neck, threw her to the floor and immediately began to stab her.

Seconds later, the attacker began to shout that his daughter did not love him and that he was going to kill himself , while stabbing himself. The matter did not go any further. Personnel from the 13B Neighborhood Police Station arrived at the “Big Pizza” premises, where the incident occurred, and the man was arrested and charged with attempted murder in the context of gender violence.

Meanwhile, the woman was rushed to Pirovano Hospital in a SAME ambulance.

Despite the 28 stab wounds she received in different parts of her body, mainly the abdomen, face and neck, the victim is making good progress and is close to being discharged.
