The murdered victim is businessman Antônio Vinicius Lopes Gritzbach, who informed the Public Prosecutor's Office about the PCC and police corruption, and who ordered the murder of two members of the faction. The police are investigating the case as an execution.
A businessman, a PCC informant to the Public Ministry, was killed at São Paulo International Airport , in Guarulhos, the largest in Brazil, around 4 pm this Friday (8). Security cameras recorded the action , which occurred at the disembarkation at Terminal 2 and the police are investigating the case as an execution, a cover-up.
The Fire Department was called, but the man did not survive his injuries. The rifle shots came from a black Gol, which was parked in front of a Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM) bus. The car was later found in a nearby community in Guarulhos. Rifle ammunition and a vest were found inside the car . There was also another shooting near the Pullman Hotel, near the airport.
The victim murdered at the airport is businessman Antônio Vinicius Lopes Gritzbach , who was an informant for the Public Prosecutor's Office of São Paulo, who was allegedly revealing a series of money laundering schemes by the PCC. He also reported police corruption.
The injured were two app drivers and a woman who was on the airport sidewalk when the shots were fired. According to investigators, all three were treated in serious condition .
After disagreements, he also allegedly ordered the murder of two members of the PCC. Anselmo Becheli Santa Fausta, known as Cara Preta, and Antônio Corona Neto, known as Sem Sangue, Anselmo's driver, were killed on December 27, 2021. Gritzbach is a defendant in these crimes.
The Public Ministry says that the businessman had businesses in the cryptocurrency sector.
Gritzbach has been testifying to the Public Prosecutor's Office for the past six months, the most recent being 15 days ago. He was accused of money laundering over R$30 million from drug trafficking . Most of these money laundering operations were carried out through the purchase and sale of real estate and gas stations.
In March of this year, Gritzbach signed a plea bargain agreement with the Public Prosecutor's Office. He handed over several schemes, gave several clues about the crimes he had committed and promised to hand over more.
According to the investigations, Vinicius had great influence in PCC cells, having even participated in a criminal court, when it is evaluated whether or not a member should be murdered for disloyalty to the faction.
In March of this year, Gritzbach signed a plea bargain agreement with the MP.
The Public Prosecutor's Office said that it offered security to Vinicius on more than one occasion and that he always refused protection. The businessman's defense said that it will wait for the end of the investigations to make a statement.
Since the crime took place outside the airport, the Civil Police are responsible for the investigation, not the Federal Police. Therefore, the Homicide and Personal Protection Department (DHPP) and the Specialized Tourist Assistance Unit (DEATUR) are responding to the incident.
The suspects remain at large.
Vinicius was returning from Maceió (AL) to São Paulo, accompanied by his girlfriend. He was surprised when he stepped outside the airport.
The son is said to have witnessed his father's death. The son was with one of Vinicius's security guards who, according to preliminary investigations, arrived at the airport alone.
Investigations so far show that Vinicius has four bodyguards, all military police officers from São Paulo. The car they were traveling in broke down on the way to Cumbica. One of them picked up Vinicius' son and went to the airport to wait for him. The others were left with the broken-down car at a gas station.
All four security guards were identified and will be questioned, initially, at the Cumbica airport police station, including the murdered businessman's girlfriend, who ran away from the crime scene before the police arrived.
