Kıvanç Ş. was enraged when he saw that photos of a bouquet of flowers shared on social media by his wife were used without permission by another business. He went straight to the flower depot and severely beat Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı. Yıldırıcı, who was taken to the hospital for treatment, was declared brain dead.

In Antalya, the florist Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı (29), who was put into a coma by a single punch from Kıvanç Şensöz (31), has been declared brain dead.

Kıvanç Şensöz, who works as a sports coach and a bouncer in bars, has a foreign wife who sells flowers on various accounts and pages they created on social media platforms. Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı, who has been in the flower business in the same area for years, along with his sister Firdevs Yıldırıcı (25) and their father Muhammet Yıldırıcı (60), shares photos of flowers and bouquets on their social media account to sell them.

Recently, Firdevs Yıldırıcı took a screenshot of a flower photo and shared it on her workplace's social media accounts. Upon seeing the photo, which did not clearly show the woman's face, Kıvanç Şensöz reacted by saying, "Why are you sharing my wife's photo? You are a thief of labor."

In response to the reaction, Firdevs Yıldırıcı apologized, stating that the woman's face in the photo was blurred and cropped, and that she made a mistake. Kıvanç Şensöz wanted to meet face to face with Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı, whom he claimed made the mistake, and went to the flower depot in the Altınova neighborhood of Kepez district around 7:00 PM on October 12.

Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı went to Şensöz to apologize. At that moment, Şensöz suddenly punched Yıldırıcı, knocking him to the ground. Şensöz, who kicked Yıldırıcı multiple times, was saved by his uncle Ali Okur. The police and medical teams were notified for Yıldırıcı, who could not get up. The medical team, which arrived shortly, took the unconscious Yıldırıcı to Kepez State Hospital. It was determined that Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı had suffered a brain hemorrhage. Kıvanç Şensöz, who was taken into custody, was arrested by the court he was brought to.

The moments when Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı was assaulted were captured by the security camera of the flower depot. In the footage, Kıvanç Şensöz is seen suddenly punching Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı, who entered the depot, and kicking him after he fell to the ground. During the incident, the sounds were heard by his uncle Ali Okur, who ran over and intervened, asking, "What have you done?" to which Kıvanç Şensöz replied, "If she shares my wife's photos, this is what happens." When asked, "Is he in his right mind?" Şensöz responded, "No," and a woman's scream was also captured on camera.

It has been learned that Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı, who was being treated in the intensive care unit of Kepez State Hospital, has been declared brain dead. Doctors will discuss organ donation with Yıldırıcı's family.
