Uploaded On:Saturday 21st of September 2024

On August 30 in Barrancabermeja, Santander, Demetrio González, a 58-year-old worker, died in the middle of a fight with neighbors in the area in which he was severely beaten.

The fight that ended with one person dead took place in the Palmira neighborhood of the oil city. The videos taken by a security camera were published last Tuesday, September 17.

These are part of the evidence and would confirm the versions that pointed to one of the women having caused the death by hitting him directly on the skull with a helmet.

The recording shows the man pointing at the women, who are off-screen at first. However, at one point, when the victim refers to them as “whores,” one of the women lashes out at him.

“We are not whores,” the woman is heard saying as she threw a helmet at him, which was dodged and then kicked away by the deceased. The attack continued with the woman hitting him as he walked away.

Meanwhile, the man who is believed to be the woman’s son was following her around trying to separate her and end the fight. On the other hand, a second woman can be seen joining the fight, also wearing a helmet.

The latter is the one who finally connects the first blow with her helmet directly to the skull while the other kicks González in the back, who falls unconscious immediately before the eyes of the three people.

On the floor, he was even kicked in the head by the first woman. The video then reveals the women’s moments of anguish when they noticed the victim’s unconsciousness and the bewilderment of the young man who was trying to end the fight.

In addition, several people are seen trying to revive him without success. The 58-year-old man was taken to a medical center but, according to reports, he arrived without vital signs and ended up dying due to the severity of his injuries.

The revealed video represents strong evidence in the ongoing case and is part of the investigation into the man’s death.
