On the night of Monday, August 26, 2024, in Neiva, a violent attack left barber Jonathan Trujillo in critical condition. The incident took place in his barbershop, located on Carrera 19 and Calle 50, in the Prado Norte neighborhood.

Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín, commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, said that the attackers arrived at the establishment on a motorcycle, according to information gathered by Blu Radio . The victim ended up with two bullet wounds in the head and neck.

Initial investigations suggest that the attack could be linked to the collection of a debt related to the informal loan known as gota a gota. In response, the Police and the CTI of the Prosecutor's Office are working intensively to identify and capture those responsible for this violent act.

The barber is currently receiving medical attention and is believed to be brain dead. The case is under investigation.
