Security cameras captured the moment when Military Police (PM) soldier Tiago White Rodrigues de Araújo, 33, was shot dead by his own brother in Uruaçu. The police officer, who was assigned to the city's 7th Independent Company of Specialized Policing (CPE), was hit by at least two shots and fell into the property's swimming pool in the early hours of Thursday, the 11th.

According to the images, before the murder, Tiago beat his brother with punches and kicks while the suspect was on the ground. The attack allegedly occurred after an argument between the relatives.

Moments later, Tiago, who was a Muay Thai teacher, was recorded by the cameras still in a state of shock, at which point his brother came out of the house and shot the victim in the area of the property. The police officer was rescued and taken to a hospital, but he did not survive his injuries and died at the hospital.

The video was released on social media by the president of the Goiás State Department of Transit (Detran), Delegate Waldir Soares. However, the recording was later deleted.

Guthierys, from Portal Uruaçu, a friend of Tiago, told Jornal Opção that the family was celebrating Tiago's birthday in advance, as he would have turned 34 this Saturday, the 13th. According to the friend, the party had a lot of alcohol, and both the police officer and his brother were upset when they started arguing.

According to information provided by Guthierys, Tiago went after the suspect's wife, which did not please his brother. Since Tiago was a Muay Thai fighter, the suspect was unable to stop him and ended up being beaten. He then grabbed the gun and shot the officer twice, once in the hand and once in the abdomen.

Guthierys said that the family called SAMU several times, but the phone was out of order. Only after a few minutes did they call the Fire Department, who responded. According to Guthierys, the delay in receiving care may have caused his death, since Tiago lost a lot of blood.

According to Captain Mirian Lopes, Commander of the 11th CIBM, Tiago was rescued and taken to the Centro-Norte Hospital in a timely manner, and the resuscitation procedure was carried out for 40 minutes, but without success.

Guthierys reported that the police officer's brother was arrested and was so drunk that he fell asleep during the incident, only waking up the next morning. When he woke up, he was shocked to learn what had happened and could not stop crying. Tiago left behind a wife and two children, one of whom is still young.
