A small 5 kg gas cylinder exploded with a bang while making tea in a house in Salemgarh village of Adampur block on Monday evening at around 5 pm.
During this, 5 people including two women got burnt. The burnt people have been admitted to a private hospital. After the fire incident, the fire was extinguished by the fire brigade which reached the spot on information. The cause of the fire is said to be a gas leak.
According to the information, Kuldeep's family from Salemgarh village was at home. At around 5 pm, when Meera tried to light the gas stove in the kitchen to make tea, suddenly a fire broke out. After this, there was a huge explosion in the cylinder. Two members of the family quickly ran out of the house. Both were badly burnt. Amit told that he is originally from Rajasthan.
On Monday, he came to his aunt Silochana's house. Hearing the sound of cylinder explosion at Kuldeep's house, his aunt Silochana, Deepchand Soni, Dinesh went there and they also got burnt. All the burnt people have been admitted to Soni Burn Hospital in Hisar. Kuldeep and Meera have been referred to Delhi due to their condition being more serious.
Earlier on January 22, after the consecration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, a small cylinder exploded in Satya Nagar, Hisar at around 11 pm. In this accident, a 3-year-old child died after being burnt alive. All the belongings in the room adjacent to the room of the migrant labourers were also burnt in the fire.
