A woman was attacked in a residential building in the Muçumagro neighborhood, in the capital João Pessoa, on Tuesday night (31), as shown by images from the local security cameras, which recorded the crime. The Specialized Women's Assistance Police Station is investigating the case. The suspect is still being sought by authorities.

In the images, it is possible to see that, in addition to the victim, another woman and two children were in a corridor, around 8:30 pm on Tuesday (31), when a man, whose identity was not revealed by the police, appears and begins attacking one of the women with several punches and kicks. The victim initially had one of the children next to her, but, due to the violent scene, the child moved away.

The video also shows that one of the children has a belt in his hand and tries to stop the attacker using the object.

After the action, the man appears in the footage returning to one of the apartments in the residential building and picking up belongings inside and later leaving. After fleeing, police are still searching for the suspect.

According to the Civil Police, the case was reported to the Military Police by residents of the building where the attacks took place. A police investigation, which is being carried out in secret, was opened.

In addition, urgent protective measures were provided, as well as monitoring by the Maria da Penha Patrol for the victim, who was also sent for a Criminal Investigation Examination.
